A little of everything

It's been a little while since I've posted and I apologize. Our family has been through a lot in a past month and it's taken me this long to get back in to the swing of posting. I will try and be better :)

I'm going to start with a few photos of our cats. Since Mike and I don't have children, I find that I take a lot of pictures of our four legged children.

Some people might find this weird, but Mike and I sit on separate couches when we watch TV. He has the big couch for snuggling with our dog Aayla and I have a love seat for me, my cat, my laptop, and everything else I seem to need with me while I'm watching TV. We have been wanting to replace our love seat for awhile now and my friend Mindy happened to be getting rid of a large chair that I love. Well, we picked it up this past weekend...and I'm not so sure it was a good decision. I seem to loose my spot...a lot.

After about an hour Sammy and Bridger seemed to approve of the new furniture. Aayla on the other hand is quite confused. She still thinks she can climb up and snuggle with me. She now has to curl up on the ottoman and my feet end up on the arm of the chair. I need to have Mike take a picture of us as it's quite a sight.

This past weekend was Mike's work appreciation party. It is always a blast and we look forward to it every year. This year the theme was black and white. If you remember I have been working out for weeks to fit in to my little black dress. Well I am happy to say...it FIT :)

This is the whole gang. We are pretty lucky to have such amazing friends.

Tonight I wanted to make a recipe that I found on Pinterest. There wasn't really a recipe so I'll try and explain it as best I can. Below are all the ingredients you'll need minus the spray butter I used. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees.

Take crescent rolls and unroll them on to a baking sheet. Spray a light layer of butter or use spreadable butter. You don't need very much.

Then make a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. I didn't have any measurements so I just eyeballed it. Take that mixture and gently shake it on to your unrolled crescent rolls. I didn't end up using all the mixture I made. You just want a light dusting.

You can now roll up the crescent rolls like you normally would and put them in the oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes.

While they are baking you can mix up the frosting. Take 1 1/3 cup powdered sugar and mix it with 2 1/2 tablespoons of milk.

Once they are done you can pour the frosting over the rolls you are going to eat. I didn't pour it over all of them as I don't think they would store well. They turned out amazing and I can't wait to have one for breakfast tomorrow!!!

The final picture for tonight is of Miss Aayla. She wanted to play so bad and wouldn't sit still!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day :)
